を開催するにあたり、皆様をお迎えできることを大変嬉しく思います。
作家しぶやあけみが探求し続けた人形の、色あせることのない美しさ、神秘的な世界に魅了され、自然と引き込まれることになるでしょう。
1949年 徳島県生まれ。
幼い頃から日本の伝統的な手工芸に刺激を受けてきました。
大学で学んだ近世文学は、後に彼女の芸術的アプローチに大きな影響を与え、日本の美に対する深い理解は、その感性に根ざした独自の芸術的な作品を生み出す事に繋がったのです。
しぶやあけみの人形の世界に足を踏み入れると、誰もが瞑想的・幻想的な感覚を呼び起こされます。
彼女の人形は熟練した技術だけでなく、自然・歴史・精神性との深い繋がりをも感じるからです。
また、人形師としての作家人生の中で、唯一無二の創造性、技術の伝承に対して数多くの賞を受賞しました。
牡蛎や蛤の粉から作られる「胡粉」による絶妙な白の魅力は、伝統工芸士 故村岡菊治氏に師事し培われました。
「擬人化」の表現には、木目込み、胡粉人形、パーチメントアート、メタルアートなど様々な技法を駆使し、着物の古布などを使い、人形に命を吹き込みました。
彼女の作品は、象徴的に表現することに趣をおき、月・太陽・風・季節などの要素を詩的に表現されています。
人形たちの感動的でどこかなつかしい夢のような表現は、その物語を通して見る人に深い繋がりを感じさせます。

Akemi Shibuya, born in Tokushima in 1949, developed a deep passion for traditional crafts from an early age. Her education in early modern literature greatly influenced her artistic approach, resulting in creations that reflect her profound understanding of art history.
Stepping into Akemi Shibuya's doll realm, you will be immersed in a world that encourages contemplation and reverie. Her dolls not only showcase technical skill but also a deep connection to nature, history, and spirituality. Throughout her career, she has received numerous awards for her exceptional creations and dedication to teaching.
Akemi Shibuya's fascination with the exquisite whiteness achieved through GOFUN, a shell powder extracted from the ITABO oyster, was cultivated during her studies under master Kikuji Muraoka. Employing various techniques, including GIJINKA and KIMEKOMI, she brings her dolls to life, adorning them with KOFU kimono fabrics, parchment art, and metal embossing.
Symbolism plays a significant role in her work, with elements like the moon, sun, wind, and seasons serving as poetic subjects. Her dolls reveal dreamlike universes infused with emotions and historical references, inspiring profound connections through storytelling.
Shibuya's meticulous nature and unwavering dedication are evident in every work. With limited production of approximately one doll per year, she invests her undivided attention into each masterpiece, ensuring the highest level of art and craftsmanship.
